Dr Gabriel was interviewed by Huff Post on the reactionary behaviour of TV executives in the wake of global Black Lives Matter protests against systemic racism.

Dr Gabriel finds the term ‘BAME’ problematic and resents the use of this term in the article as per Black British Academics statement on the role language and terminology play in perpetuating White privilege.
