Dr Deborah Gabriel, was interviewed by radio producer and host Hopeton Hay, of Kazi Radio in Austin, Texas, during a week-long visit organised by Virginia Cumberbatch, Director of the Center for Community Engagement at the University of Texas.
I was thrilled to deliver a presentation on Black British Academics’ Ivory Tower project at the University of Texas on 12th August, hosted jointly by the Black Studies Dept and Center for Community Engagement.
The anniversary book launch for Inside the Ivory Tower was hosted by Bournemouth University (BU) on Friday 5th October 2018.
Dr Gabriel was interviewed by Bridgitte Tetteh of BBC Radio Berkshire on the angry Black woman stereotype and its use in media representation of Serena Williams.
